Pat Benatar was the darling of MTV in the early 80s, and is one of the decade's definining artists. Her empowered anthems challenged authority, and showcased her strength as a woman. She flaunted her rebellious attitude that went along so well with her rock star looks. Young girls would often mimick her unique style, including her iconic headband. Pat Benatar taught me that love isn't always easy, its a battlefield. I'm not going to lie, I still get pumped up when I hear "Invincible". Its like my Rocky theme.
